MIL-H-22240F (AMENDMENT 1), MILITARY SPECIFICATION: HOSE, RUBBER, PETROLEUM BASED FUELS & WATER SERVICES, DISCHARGE ONLY, SMOOTH BORE, LIGHTWEIGHT BUOYANT TYPE (15 MAR 1989)., This amendment forms a part of Military Specification MIL-H-22240F(SH)dated 22 March 1988, and is approved for use by the Naval Sea Systems Command, Department of the Navy and Is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.

【摘要】:ThetraditionalresolutiontestoftheSEMrequires,asafirststep,aphotomicrographofafineparticulatesampletakenatahighmagnification.Theoperatorisrequiredtomeasureadistanceonthephotomicrographbetweentwoadjacent,butseparateedges.Theseedgesareusuallylessthanonemillimetreapart.TheirimagequalityisoftenlessthanoptimumlimitedbytheS/Nratioofabeamwithsuchasmalldiameterandlowcurrent.Operatorjudgmentisdependentontheindividualacuityofthepersonmakingthemeasurementandcanvarysignificantly.UseofthispracticeresultsinSEMelectronbeamsizecharacterizationwhichissignificantlymorereproduciblethanthetraditionalresolutiontestusingafineparticulatesample.1.1Thispracticeprovidesareproduciblemeansbywhichoneaspectoftheperformanceofascanningelectronmicroscope(SEM)maybecharacterized.TheresolutionofanSEMdependsonmanyfactors,someofwhichareelectronbeamvoltageandcurrent,lensaberrations,contrastinthespecimen,andoperator-instrument-materialinteraction.However,theresolutionforanysetofconditionsislimitedbythesizeoftheelectronbeam.Thissizecanbequantifiedthroughthemeasurementofaneffectiveapparentedgesharpnessforanumberofmaterials,twoofwhicharesuggested.ThispracticerequiresanSEMwiththecapabilitytoperformline-scantraces,forexample,Y-deflectionwaveformgeneration,forthesuggestedmaterials.TherangeofSEMmagnificationatwhichthispracticeisofutilityisfrom1000to50000x.Highermagnificationsmaybeattempted,butdifficultyinmakingprecisemeasurementscanbeexpected.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
