【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsetestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedureformeasuringandobservingtherelativeamountsofsmokeobscurationproducedbytheburningordecompositionofplastics.Itisintendedtobeusedformeasuringthesmoke-producingcharacteristicsofplasticsundercontrolledconditionsofcombustionordecomposition.Correlationwithotherfireconditionsisnotimplied.Themeasurementsaremadeintermsofthelossoflighttransmissionthroughacollectedvolumeofsmokeproducedundercontrolled,standardizedconditions.Theapparatusisconstructedsothattheflameandsmokecanbeobservedduringthetest.Caution-Duringthecourseofcombustion,gasesorvapors,orboth,areevolvedthatmaybehazardoustopersonnel.Adequateprecautionsshouldbetakentoprotecttheoperator.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefire-hazardorfire-riskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafire-hazardassessmentorafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardorfire-riskofaparticularenduse.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin1.2andNote7.Note1-ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
