【摘要】:Thetestproceduresandassociatedanalysistechniquesdescribedinthismethodcanbeusedtodeterminecomplexshearmodulusandpermanentshearstrainofasphaltmixtures.Theshearfrequencysweeptestatconstantheightcanbeusedtodeterminethecomplexshearmodulusofamixture.Therepeatedsheartestatconstantheightcanbeusedtodeterminepermanentshearstrainunderrepeatedloading.Note48212;Thecomplexshearmodulusisusedtocharacterizetheshearbehaviorofthemixture,andthepermanentshearstrainrelatestopavementrutting.1.1Thisstandardprovidesperformance-relatedtestproceduresforthedeterminationofstiffnesscomplexshearmodulusandpermanentshearstrainofasphaltmixturesusingtheSuperpaveShearTester(SST).Thisstandardisapplicabletothetestingandanalysisofmodifiedandunmodifiedasphaltmixtures.1.2Thisstandardisapplicabletospecimenspreparedinalaboratoryorcoredfromapavementforpost-constructionanalysis.Itisintendedforusewithspecimenshavingthefollowingminimumdimensions:
